# BirdBets

> Spot. Bet. Win. Predict how many birds will visit the feeder today. Watch live BirdBuddy visits, place prediction market bets, and win.

Do not take this too seriously — the numbers are almost certainly not 100% accurate. There will be bugs but there will also be birds, bets, and fun.

## How it works

- **Live stream**: Watch birds at the feeder in real time via a BirdBuddy HLS stream.
- **Today's market**: See how many birds have visited today, browse recent visit postcards, and track odds for today's threshold market.
- **Tomorrow's market**: Bet YES or NO on whether bird visits tomorrow will exceed a daily threshold. Markets close before the day ends; an oracle resolves them using BirdBuddy visit counts.
- **Wallet required**: Log in with a Web3 wallet (via Thirdweb) to place bets with an ERC-20 token on Base.

Bird visit counts come from BirdBuddy. Not every visit gets a screenshot, and counts can lag live activity by up to 10 minutes.

Each market asks: *Will there be more than N bird visits today/tomorrow?* YES wins if visits exceed the threshold; NO wins if visits are at or below it.
